* The policy applies for COVID-19 related cancelations *

Payment and Cancelation Policy

non-refundable EUR €500 deposit confirms a reservation. Full payment is due 45 days prior to the first date of the retreat.

Should a guest need to cancel her/his reservation more than 45 days before the first day of the retreat, there will be the options to:

  1. Transfer 100% of the $500 deposit to another retreat within one year**

Should a guest need to cancel 45 days or less prior to the first day of the retreat, for whatever reason, we will not be able to provide a refund or credit for any payment.

No refund or credit will be given for arriving late or departing a retreat early or for meals/activities in which one does not participate. In the unlikely event that the retreat center needs to cancel the retreat a full refund will be given.

If force majeure (e.g. pandemic, natural disaster, government travel restrictions, etc.) causes a retreat to be canceled, alternative dates will be offered to reschedule the retreat within one year and 100% of the guest payment will be transferred to the rescheduled retreat. In this case, when a retreat cannot be held due to causes beyond our control, no refund of payments can be provided if it is 30 days or less before the retreat.

We strongly advise on the purchase of a travel insurance at the time of booking your retreat in the case of any unexpected events or changes to your plans before or during your trip.

You may customize what you need for travel and/or international emergency medical insurance. Check with your home health insurance provider to see if and for what you are covered when traveling outside your home country.

It is our best intention to lessen the concerns around booking a retreat by offering additional flexibility with retreat cancelations in this era of COVID-19 travel. It is important you are comfortable with your travel plans. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions and we will be happy to provide additional information.

**since we don’t provide yearly retreats on a regular basis this is valid if there is another retreat planned or the credit can be transfered to another service with bySandraDenise or thetantraqueen™.

What you can expect on our group retreats,

  • We are regularly reviewing the travel situation for the retreat destination and we will keep you informed about travel requirements and/or restrictions

  • Our partner retreat center and tour operators have implemented COVID-19 protocols.

  • The retreat group size are limited to 23 persons inc teachers

  • Our retreat location is away from massive tourism

  • There will be health-safety protocols in place to create a safe environment, as possible.

  • A central theme is that the experience is about living well through exercise/yoga, healthy eating, deep rest, being in the outdoors in nature, having a positive mindset, and enjoying good company.

Here are 7 tips you will want to consider when deciding if it safe and right for you to go on a yoga retreat.

  1. Re-assess your life philosophy. Oh boy! If this “careful” living is going to continue, then it will help settle the mind to be more conscious about how you do want to approach it. Ask yourself, how do I want to live? If this is how it will be for an undetermined amount of time will you be OK to stay hunkered down at home? You may be perfectly fine to do so. Or will your nerves and sanity start to fray? (Or have they already?)

  2. Weigh your personal risks and your comfort level. This will of course be different for each person. Get quiet and listen to your inner guidance.

  3. Gauge your need for a retreat. Are you feeling chronically stressed? Does your body feel contracted and suffocated in your space and routine? Are you unsettlingly ambiguous about life? Do you too frequently feel lonely, anxious, depressed, or fatigued? Does your mind constantly spin? Are you craving a change of scenery? Mental and emotional health are inextricably linked to physical health.

  4. Make your own decision, not others. Not everyone’s advice about whether you should travel will apply to you. Stay focused on you.

  5. Deal with fear rationally. Get clear on what is realistic and what is exacerbated and hype because of the “unknown”. And that’s not to say, don’t take precautions. 100% do take them.

  6. Choose the “right” retreat. You will want to have ample access and time to being outdoors in nature and fresh air. Choose a retreat that limits its size to a small group. Ask what are the health-safety/COVID-19 protocols; there should be the necessary ones in place but not overkill. You still want to enjoy the experience.

  7. Booking incentives & peace of mind. Review the cancelation policy and make sure it works for you. Purchase travel insurance.
